Delayed...

Ugh...we were meant to be in Uganda right now. Unfortunately Kenya Air overbooked by about 30 seats. We spent most of the wee hours this morning pushing and fighting for a seat. At first it was comical, but it became so irritating and frustrating to see others butt in front of you. The only way to get anything done is to fight back and yell. Waiting patiently just gets you bypassed. I don't think being a woman is very helpful at times like this either. Regardless, we didn't get the remaining seats, despite raising my voice. We did managed to secure a $500 voucher each for tickets on Kenya Air or at the Duty Free. So, that means another adventure or a heck of a lot of chocolate!

So, Phyllis you asked, "Why didn't you guys give yourself more time at home?" I guess the answer is that by divine intervention we got an additional day here in Khartoum.

Can't wait to head back to the airport at midnight to do it all over again!
