Gateway to India

Here is the Gateway to India, a famous landmark in Mumbai. Besides being the launch site for ferries to Elephanta Island, it also marks where the British made their final exit from India. So, I suppose this is quite an important symbol of independence for most Indians. It's quite beautiful at night, as you can tell. I think this is where a million and a half lovers stroll at night! :)

Behind you will see the fancy Taj Hotel that bombed by terrorists last year. They are currently in the process of reconstructing. I forced Rachel to brave the security guards and metal detectors to sit in the lobby. I don't think she was very pleased.
