Elephanta Island

One of our first attractions to see in Mumbai was Elephanta Island, another amazing UNESCO World Heritage Site. We weren't sure what to expect, but were heartily impressed by the ancient Hindu carvings we saw. These carvings were made around the 7th century. (Somewhere, somehow I know that I have studied these images before...)
