Our Absentee Voting ballots finally arrived on Thursday! So, I sat in secret and did the most patriotic thing ever...I voted! Another teacher happens to be heading home to Wisconsin on Monday, so he will happily put our ballots in the mail. (Hopefully an early arrival in the election office will help to ensure that my vote gets counted!) Perhaps one of the more clever things I did before heading over to Khartoum was to transfer my residency back to Missouri. My blue vote goes a lot further in Missouri than New York.
I do have a little gripe, though. I've seen quite a few ballots from different states now. Only Missouri makes me put stamps on the envelope. Harumph! Thank god Rachel was clever enough to stock up on Forever stamps beforehand!
