An Affair to Remember!

It seems that there is a wedding everyday of the week, especially since they are usually week-long celebrations. So, when our neighbors informed us that there was going to be a wedding this past weekend, we weren't too surprised by the amount of partying going on next door. They asked if they could use our driveway to park...oh, and of course, we were invited. We arrived late...but not too late to miss the 50+ people extra people seated on our driveway (those that wouldn't fit in the tent), the brass band boogying down and the sword dancing! Once we arrived, they decided to have another party!

Sadly, the bride didn't have her groom with her. This celebration was just the paper ceremony. Her beau was in Saudi Arabia; once she had the wedding certificate, she could join him there. In lieu of a real groom, one of the girls next door dressed up in a suit and did a little role-playing. (You just can' t make this stuff up!) Here I am dancing with the "groom". The bride's mother is in the back dressed in purple with henna on her fingers!
