ICRC

We hardly have the opportunities that New York has to offer in regards to field trips. I'm feeling nostalgic for shuttling students along the subway platforms onto Museum Mile! Oh well. We are in land of NGOs, though. So, for our field trips, we literally are out in "the field". We stopped by the International Red Cross (Red Crescent in the Muslim world) this past week. We saw the warehouse full of emergency supplies and experienced a typical refugee meal. It was great to see behind the scenes of what so many people are doing here!
Pictured here is Asida (boiled and mashed sorghum) with Mullah (meat sauce). Yum.
