TGI...T?

Living in a Muslim world, our work week is from Sunday to Thursdays, making Thursday the new Friday! As you might have heard, there is a shortage of "nightlife" per se. It's a bit like college...having to be on a list to gain access to any party or social organization get-together. (Mostly this has to do with security issues., so it's a little more understandable.) So, Sunday through Wednesday is all about getting on "the list" for Thursday or Friday night, lest you be stuck in your apartment all weekend! Grrrr...

We were lucky enough to be invited to a US Embassy house party last night. (The veterans were impressed to see how quickly we managed to get an invite.) It was great to be hanging out with people other than teachers...people who have the most interesting jobs in the world! I even managed to scout out a friend of a friend!

Now, we've got to work on next week's list! Oh, the pressure!
